One of the outcomes of my attendance at the Canada Day party two weeks ago was being able to book a return flight from Glasgow to Vancouver for next May at a very advantageous fare. I have been offered accommodation by a cousin who lives at Sooke. All I need to do now is stay healthy between now and next May and God Willing I should be back on the Island and able to meet up again with the xmarks BC rabble at the next Victoria Games.

Sounds wonderful indeed! I was last in BC in May 1999 for a ski trip at Whistler/Blackcomb. My good mate, James Adamson (a Mackintosh), attended the University of BC-Prince George, and I was lucky enough to visit him several times. I have relatives that live in White Rock, near Vancouver. Gorgeous scenery and area, perfect for mountaineering and skiing, as well as many, many other outdoor pursuits.
