Victoria Highland Games
I only got one picture at the games last weekend, partly because it was so wet and cold. This is me, my eldest son and daughter.
It was a fun weekend, though, started off by the Loreena McKennitt concert Friday night. Only one kilty was in attendance (me!).

Nice photo of a happy family! thanks for sharing.
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Even though it was wet and cold you all look so happy in thepicture, I hope you had a good time regardless of the weather.

Nice family photo, shame about the weather, just like the weather we are getting here in Scotland this summer - I just hope the ground won't be too waterlogged for our local Highland Games next Saturday. I don't recognise the background - were your games held in Beacon Hill Park?

We did have a good time, regardless of the rain. My daughter was visiting from Alberta, so it was kind of special. She'd had a few ciders, so wasn't feeling the cold so much! c152t, the event took place in Bullen Park in Esquimalt. I hope it dries up for your games.

Cool picture. You never struck me that your kids could be that old. You look like you could be the older brother of those two instead of Dad.

Thank you, Glen! Sometimes I wonder where the time went. My son is 29, my daughter is 26, and I also have a 22 year old son and an 18 year old stepson. No kilt-wearers among the boys yet, but I'm still proud of them.

And anyone lucky enough to meet Macman and his lovely wife will also find out right quick what great people they are. I have met David and Anna in person twice and have enjoyed both times.
I have always wanted to make it over for the Victoria Games. Maybe next year...
