Pattern Quest
My brother found a Simplicity 5029 Argyll jacket pattern in his size. I need a 50R. So far, no luck. Any ideas about where I might look?

I found the one I use (in a smaller size) on ebay, after looking for a couple of months.

Re: Pattern Quest
Have you considered having one made by a reputable Highland dress company to your own measurements (bespoke)?

No. I enjoy DIY very much more than spending a King's ransom on a jacket (or anything else I can make myself). I'm not dissing those who invest in fine tailoring by professionals. It's just not for me.

Gotcha. No worries, just thought I'd ask!
Best of luck,

Re: Pattern Quest
why not just draft your own?
Its fairly straightforward and if you're making it up yourself then there's plenty of room for adjustments.
This forum has lots of info on making up of bespoke garments
