I am on a quest to revive the Day Plaid! I wear mine everytime Im out in my kilt. (which would be today too). I just got up in the early morning 5:53 AM CST. Ive got a Fiance to pick up at the bus stop at 10:30 AM CST. I decided to wear my kilt today since its a nice cool day and ALSO (there are no clean clothes yet haha) The kilt is ALLWAYS kept clean, washed, sprayed with cleaner etc. While waking up at 5:53 AM CST makes no sense since I am picking up my fiance at 10:30AM CST, sleeping wasent easy last night, Not sure if its the slight cold that I have now, or the coughing that went along with it. etc. I just dont feel like sleeping anymore hehe. Anyways, Scot from Tx Joshua H.
Good luck with your quest young sir. If you continue sooner or later it will catch on.
Certainly to be encouraged and hopefully will set a trend.

I remember going to a local high school sports day last year and seeing an elerly fellow with a plaid wrapped around his shoulders (it was definately a plaid and not a blanket). Unfortunately he wasn't wearing a kilt which was a shame. Yes it would be great to revive the tradition of wearing tartan above the waist during the day as it looks so spectacular !
The Kilt is my delight !

I've got to make one for mine. I think I will order a matching one for each kilt.
Good luck with you quest, I am not a lover of fly plaids, Day or Evening, I think that they are a bit ( as I have said before) Brigadoonish
I don't like plaids either
