Where do wear like the lower edge of the kilt
I've often heard comments about a kilt being worn too long (often it's the fault of the camera angle which is looking a bit downward and so the kilt edge looks lower than it is since it's out front m ore than the leg).
I'm just wondering what the general consensus on this is (maybe this has been done before?).
Personally I like it around the bottom of the knee cap when standing. I find I don't like the look as much above the knee cap

Personal preference is mid knee cap. I can adjust my kilt hose enough to show the knee and leg. Stock length kilts of 24 inches fit pretty well but my tank is 25 inches and when worn properly at the waists fits upper mid knee. Just my preference.

Yes, it's been done before.
As a historically and culturally Scottish thing, the standard appears to be nearer to the top of the knee than to the center, much less the bottom. My personal preference happens to fit that as well.

Re: Where do wear like the lower edge of the kilt
I voted for higher: there wasn't an option for "top or higher." I think you are right that the angle of the picture makes a bit of a difference in how this can appear. I also only voted about how I like my kilt to be; the way anyone else wears or likes their kilt is none of my business.
Good luck with the pole.

Oh yes, it's been done many times. Most recently here.
Top of the kneecap for me. If I'm going to err, I always err to the higher-than-the-kneecap side rather than lower. To me, wearing it at the bottom of the knee makes it look like a dress. Or a pair of long baggy shorts. But that's just my opinion.
Traditional length (including military standards) is around the top of the knee. You are, of course, free to wear it wherever you like. I've even seen people wearing theirs halfway down their calves.

Current Royal Regiment (Scots) Of Scotland, Order of Dress, is for kilt to be worn, 1" above the centre of the knee

Same with me here...anything from the middle of the knee and lower just bugs the back of my leg. Top of the knee is simply more comfortable and looks better to me.

Top O' the Cap for me as well. If it gets too much lower the pleats tend to irritate the back of my knee.

Top of the knee or higher just feels less in the way for me, considering the hose and sgian dubh. Although sometimes I find I must be wearing it too high as it creates a length issue when sitting. And when it comes to mid-calf, aye, personal preference be damned!
