How big is your lower leg?

If you would, can you answer the following?

circumference of your calf w/o any compressing?
    Size shoe?
Length of lower leg from the top of your shin (the knob) to the ground?

I'm just curious to see what the range is. And why there's so much difficulty finding hose that give a good fit.

I know....curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back.

I'll start with my dad's measurements. Calf is 16, shoe size 11 & his leg measures 17 1/2 f/ the floor to the knob of the shin.

Just curious...what exactly is the fit problem? It is possible that if you state your problem, someone here might know a solution?

Yes I would be interested too in hearing what is the problem here. Many people have different sizes for each leg, in my own case the left foot and left calf are enlarged as a result of deep vein thrombosis.
Shoe size 9 - but the right shoe is a lot easier to get into than squeezing my left foot into the left shoe.
Calf - 18 inches circumference on left leg and 17 inches on right leg.
Lower leg length - 18 inches on both legs.

For your sake, I'm glad I don't have a wife. And, if I had a wife, I'm glad she doesn't post here; otherwise, I'd have to ask you to step outside.

Strong stuff, hope your post is targetted towards the O.P. and not towards me because of what I just said.

    Just a clean curiosity...really

I don't have a fit problem, as I don't have any kilt hose. I just knit them.

But I have read a number of posts from members who have large calves and the hose seem to strangle them, or from skinny legs who find the hose too roomy.

I promise there's no ulterior motive, except to see how divergent the measurements are. Really....pinky swear, and
    everything.

You can either put your numbers into the hat, or not.
