    Jacobite!

A couple of weeks ago I did a photo event with my Jacobite group at a castle in the UK. My first outing in Jacobite kit (I usually do English Civil War) so it was interesting to see how the kit would stand up to the conditions. It was freezing, and we had quite a lot of snow.
One of my favourite pics, thankfully taken inside the castle!

Outside in the snow! With the plaid hanging down, my legs were quite warm.Bringing it up and wrapping it around my shoulders as seen occasionally gave me a bit more protection on top, but was not worth the freezing wind on the back of my legs! Click image for larger version.

So I have a question. How does your powder horn attach? Is it hung from your waist belt, or from your baldric? I'm making a Scots powder horn from the same period and can't find any useful pictures or how they were worn.

And by the way... Wow. Your garb is magnificent.

You guys, and gal, look like you stepped out of a history book. Good show! And thanks for sharing the pictures with us. Wish I could have been there to see it in person.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Seriously!! This is ine of the best reenact, emt photoshoots that I've seen in quite some time. The first photo in the thread is amazing. It should be on a book cover!

Sidebar: You know what's funny? In a few centuries people will be reenacting us. Lol!

Very well turned out. Looks like you needed every inch of wool you had.
