    Football (soccer) socks

Is it a OK to use football socks for some of the kilt outfits?

Will it work with casual and sporty?

I have seen folks use them before. The only qualifier that I would put on them is that to make sure they are not too thin, so as to be able to see flesh colour through them. For casual or sporty look fine

Not as such, some people like to be matchy-matchy, some like to co-ordinate colour, and some just put on what comes out of the sock drawer first. There has been much discussion on the subject. I am in the camp of whatever I grab first, but then, I wear black leather brogues with brown leather kilt accoutrements. Basically gets down to, what suits you.

They still look like soccer sox to me - even if sold by a middleman kilt vendor. Usually cheaper. When I wore them usually pushed them down...okay for that look. Now, don't even bother. One problem is the colors at the sporting goods stores are often very bright colors meant for uniform wear. Always black though.

For casual or sporty, you can wear whatever you like. As to colour, I am in the complimentary colour camp. I like to have my hose compliment a colour in my kilt. But that is just my preference.
