I know the colour doesn't go with the kilt...

... but I had such fun overnight volunteering for the London Moonwalk wearing my kilt, I just had to share the photo, along with my comment from Facebook last night: "After seeing a bloke in this restaurant in a chicken suit, I don't feel remotely conspicuous in a kilt any more".

Yes, those are bras printed on the shirts, but I had to wear orange as the 'event uniform' Shame it clashes so much, but I'm seriously considering a cheaper kilt for these kind of events - what tartan to go for this time?

(More information on the event withheld to avoid falling foul of the rules against soliciting for charitable causes here. Google if you're interested).

I'm quite sure a Heritage of Ireland Kilt would go well with orange.
Good to see you kilted anyway

Maybe a predominantly blue tartan. Blue and orange are complementary colors.

Why does your kilt have to match what you wear above it? Especially when there are lots of people at the event wearing the same coloured top. I reckon that's a cracking photo in the OP, although I bet the lady in the middle regrets the perfect negative correlation in the amount of "open" of her eyes and of the camera's shutter.

There is no reason to match the colour at all, as this is art of an event uniform I say wear it well.
