2014 St. Louis Scottish Highland Games and Cultural Festival in Forest Park
Greetings,
My lovely wife Stephanie, myself, family and friends, and hopefully YOU, will be attending the the 2014 St. Louis Scottish Highland Games and Cultural Festival. Located just south of the Missouri History Museum in beautiful, Forest Park (site of the famous, 1904 World's Fair), the games and festival begin on Friday, September 26; however, we will be there from open until close on Saturday, September 27. As far as I am aware, there will be quite a few members of the rabble present at this year's games with several traveling in from out-of-town. For the convenience of our out-of-town guests, games organisers have blocked out a certain number of rooms (at discounted rates) at the lovely, Sheraton Clayton Plaza Hotel in nearby Clayton, Missouri.
Upon the conclusion of the closing ceremonies on Saturday, feel free to join us for dinner and drinks at our favourite wee pub, The Scottish Arms, located in the Central West End, which is very closeby to Forest Park. The Scottish Arms is owned and operated by my good mate, Alastair "Ally" Nisbet (originally from Aberdeen, Scotland), who will also be catering at the games, so be sure to stop by for wee bite...you will not be disappointed. Also, Ally typically has the firepit in full-flame on the back patio at "The Arms," which makes for an even better evening; especially if it's a crisp, autumn night.

I just booked my room.
I'll be on the lookout for men with cromachs.

Thanks for the heads up. On my "Must Do" list. No cromach, but I will definitely be sporting a bit of blackthorn from Wicklow.

Unfortunately, family members not into Scottish heritage tend to plan weddings without looking at the games schedule, and too far awa'. Will miss you guys.

I was wondering why I did not see you or your lovely Mrs at the games this year. We missed you all.
