Two interesting occurrences!
As some of you may know, I started wearing a kilt about once a week about two months ago. During that time, I have had a number of humorous encounters with the folks around here. However, nothing like the encounters I had in the Lansing Michigan area last week.
The first occurrence was when I went to a local coffee house to pick up the morning caffeine for my wife and myself. Whilst standing in line, the guy in front of me and his wife turned around. He said "I hope your wearing something under that!" To which I replied, "I hope you are too!” His wife, caught unawares, proceeded to spray her mouthful of coffee all across his back. A long conversation on the kilt and where to buy one and all things Scottish ensued. By the time I got back to the hotel, the wife was wondering what in the world took so long.
The second occurrence makes me blush even today. I took my vehicle in to get cleaned at a local car wash. While I was inside paying, I noticed a great dane behind the counter. After paying the bill to a very nice looking young lady and petting the dog on the head, I wandered over to the windows to wait for my truck to finish. After a couple of minutes standing there, I felt the back of my kilt being lifted and something cold and wet on the back of my thigh! Spinning around and expecting a confrontation I wound up face to snout with the dane! The owner and the cashier were both smiling broadly at my reaction. Apparently the dog took a liking to me and wanted more attention.
Who knew the power of the kilt went across species!
Anyway, I hope you got a chuckle from this!

"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

I've had a very similar experience to the "hope you got something on under there"
My reply was "I hope you do too... You have a zipper with teeth to worry about!"
Only I was in the bank. And I made this poor lady drop all of her folders and her papers.
Another day in the life.

I've got a border collie that does the 'cold nose on the back of the leg' routine as well, when I'm kilted. It will get your attention.

Everyday in a kilt is an adventure, I guess you never know what kind of reaction you will get from man or beast.

I'd rather deal with the beasts. At least they are not stupid.
Hell, I'd rather be an animal.
