    Celtic Radio

Have any of you folks listened to Celtic Radio on the Internet? I found that last Saturday and REALLY liked it. I have to listen to it at home because the computer folks at work guard their bandwidth tooth and nail, but it sure is nice to listen to when I work at home.

What do you folks think of it? Is there anything better out there in your opinion?
It don't mean a thing, if you aint got that swing!!

    I really like it.

    http://www.celticradio.net

It gives a good mix of traditional and Celtic rock.

As I mentioned on another thread regarding my local college radio station,
on Sunday's from 12 to 3pm you can hear their own show called
    Celtic Winds.
It hass a little more traditional sound to it.

If you go to "Live 365" radio on the intrnet, there are quite a few Celtic stations including "Highlander Radio"

I listen to Highlander Radio daily at work, it's really not a good idea...they play fantastic music and make it very easy to click and buy the CD.

Avoid it at all costs, it will cost you a lot of money, like it does for me!

I jump between a few online radio stations depending on my mood. Highlander radio is the main one. I also listen to beertentradio.com. They play more bagpipes than anything else. then there is shitenonions.com which plays more punk and stuff like Flogging Molly, The Tossers, Larkin, The Pogues, The Mahones, Greenland Walefishers, well you get the idea. www.pghirishfest.org/ also has a link to Celtic waves which is mostly traditional. I work on my computer all day long and I am always looking for new music.

    Hope this helps, Steve

Thanks for this link - At work the FireWall throws up a big stop sign splash page saying "Restricted: High Band Width" on the streaming sites (i-tunes, Celtic Radio, etc..), but Paddyrock.com slips right through. I have been enjoying the music all morning!

I tried posting a few radio sites, but it needed to be approved first. Anyway, I'll try again. beertentradio plays a lot of pipe music. shitenonions plays punk and traditional. pghirishfest.org has a link to Celtic Waves. Or go on shoutcast or live365 and search celtic or irish.
