Highlander Radio
I haven't checked the Highlander Radio site in a while. When I logged onto my account at Live 365 an tried to get Highlander Radio a little while ago, I got a message that they were not broadcasting. Does anyone know what has happened? Have they moved, or is this some temporary condition?

The message I received when trying to log in via iTunes was, "8500, we are no longer receiving the broadcast feed for this station. This condition might be due to a temporary network issue, so please try listening again or contact your broadcaster to correct the situation." When I went to celticradio.net's home page, there was no mention of interruption and the "now playing" message did show artist and song, but when I tried to tune in via the webpage, I got text saying, "Now Playing This station is currently not available."
Looks like it's temporary or they'd have up info about it.

What type of music do they play? Besides the obvious celtic...is it bagpipes? celtic rock? or something else?

I just went to their web page http://www.celticradio.net/php/playing.php and it shows the internet streaming offline.

Highlander # 2 has been having problems on and off for a couple of weeks, I noticed. I've been alternating with Celtic Melt ( http://www.live365.com/stations/celticmelt1 ), but now they're offline too. Maybe it's a massive system glitch with Live365.
Matt - Highlander plays everything from pipes and drums and celtic ballads, and The Chieftans to 7N, ETH and the Tartan Terrors. It's really a good mix.

It must have been a temporary glitch, they are up and running now.

I just went to the Live 365 site and clicked my way through to Highlander 1.
Somehow it placed Highlaner 1 in my iTunes menu (Mac guru here...) and it's running perfectly. I often listen to Imagineavenueradio on iTunes/Live 365 while computing...this will be an alternative.

You can search on the web on 365's page or go to their own site:
celticradio.net
There are MANY sites that don't pay to have iTunes show them directly.
