I'll admit in years past (pre piper days) I was guilty O` the fake Irish accent (although I didnt do the leprechaun type) and had people ask if I was visiting from the emerald Isle and I admit that it was usually about 10 pints into the night that it would slip out...in my defence when I talk to someone with an accent I tend to pick up on it and use it myself......

Well, not quite the same thing, but...

I've found that after a good number of drinks ('round ten) I kind of slip into a Maritimes accent. See, both my parents are from Nova Scotia. Sounds almost Irish. Hope I don't go offending anyone...

He was a very in-yer-face kind of guy so he began the practice of (I am not kidding about this) painting his...ahem...posterior kelly green on St. Patricks Day and proudly exhibiting it to anyone who came into his saloon and made a disparaging remark about his Polish-ness.
