    Awards Ceremony

I went with Elaine last night to the Students Media Awards Ceremony. Oh, to be young again! It was a great night out. The awards are given out to the best writers, photographers etc on the students newspaper. Heres a few pics .. only one with me and my Cilt as I was taken the pics.

Theres was a drinks reception to start.

Infortuntely the flash bounced off glasses on the table. However I wore my Blue Mackay... managed to sort the buckles out a bit

Some of the good ladies on our table .. they were all super Cilt friendly

There was another guy on the table next to us in his Kilt. The young lady in the pic is his girlfriend .. the power of the Kilt!

Elaine and her boss had managed to secure the presenter of BBC Televisons 'Newsround', to host the awards. Thats a ten min daily news programme for children on at teatime. He is a really great guy. Here's Elaine with him

And finally, here's Elaine with her boss on the right and the deputy Ed in the middle. They certainly know all how to party.

After we left the hotel everyone (160 plus) went back to the sudents union bars and partied till they dropped.

Very nice Derek. You and Elaine look great.

Gee, no one ever invites me to party with 160 folks in student bars anymore.

Maybe I need a Blue MacKay.

Looks like an enjoyable evening, and great to see that you weren't the only kilt wearer present. Oh to be young again !
