We already have a few threads about Kilt do's and don'ts, and it is time to have thread on the do's and don'ts for kilts night. Kilts Night Do's 1. Have fun 2. be responsible 3. wear a kilt 4. respect your surroundings 5. get ready to answer 'the question' 6. be ready to accept drinks from people that you don't know 7. be ready to listen to some one who has a relative who had served in the Blackwatch 8. be ready to accept/fend off unwanted advancements 9. Be ready to take some one home.... 10. call up your fellow xmarkers before your arrival to their city Kilts night Don'ts 1. over consumption of alcohol 2. make a fuss out of nothing 3. be a jerk

It sounds like there is a story behind that I hope everything is ok.
Kilt night do's.. wear something under your kilt if you're going to dance on the tables.
Good thoughts!

DO: SHOW UP! (My problem in my attempts to "normalize" my father's views on kilts -as discussed in a previous thread- is to have more than one other person show up.)

1. DO Try and preplan as much as possible. Try to let everyone in your area know what you're planning on doing, and that "should" help increase your attendance. 2. DO Talk to the Bar, or business, that you are having a kilt night at ahead of time to let them know that you will be coming in if possible. Unless you are "highjacking" another bar, it's usually a good idea to let the owner/manager know. (P.S. Highjacking another bar is A LOT of fun. It's when you go somewhere that you KNOW you will be completely out of place. For example, here in Arizona we've gone to a Snobbish Scottsdale Bar in our kilts just for the hell of it. It was quite amusing)
