Thoughts on hitting 4,000 Posts
This should be post #4,000 for me. That's a lot of words.
Just for the heck of it, I decided to look up when I joined and see when my earliest posts were.. Looks like I joined in October 2005 and starting posting in September 2005. So that's almost 2 1/2 years.
It was fun from post #1, and with the very first post I started learning stuff. Now, 2 1/2 years later, it's still fun and I learn something new every week, at least. Friends made "on-line" have become "Real-Time" friends. The "Cloaked in Midnight Joan" is somewhat used to me going off and trying new things every couple of years. I think she's resigned to the fact that this "new thing"...kilts and Scottish traditions, is not going away any time soon.
X-Marks, y'all rock. Thanks for 2 1/2 years of fun, 90+ and growing X-Kilts, helping me get in touch with a big part of my heritage, and just generally being the most "together" online community I've ever been a part of, in ten-plus years of messing around on the internet.

Congrats Alan. Don't think a person's post count gets credit for off topic posts. Go post on topic and you're there.
Thanks for all your contributions to this wonderful board.

Alan you truly bring so much to the forum, but also to the kilted masses with your innovation of the x-kilt, it really does make me wonder how many new kilties there are out there because of it. I can scarce think of anyone who has done more to increase kilt awareness. Congratulations on the milestone.
