The Buzz Kidder sporrans are great, and their size actually makes them useful. I would recommend them highly.

It's also sort of a rite of passage here at X marks to get a Freelander Sporran. I have one.

The Buzz Kidder does look smaller, perhaps it's the absence of tassles...Oh no!!! Tasslephobia....Jeeeez...You guys must be cracking up by now...LOL

I don't mind the appearance of tassels, but as has been mentioned, sometimes the rhythm they make when you walk can get real irritating.
But, to be fair, sometimes it's kind of cool too.

All a matter of personal taste. I enjoy the freedom of wearing a casual kilt with pockets, when I would not normally wear a sporran, though a sporran completes the look when wearing a dressy tartan kilt, and is useful for holding keys, money etc.

I actually have the Inverness model, which is supposed to be larger than the Country. I don't know how much., but I'm very happy with it, and use it regularly. I appreciate most the drawstring on it, which serves to keep my assorted items inside.

The Ferguson Britt line of sporrans that Matt Newsome carries actually have an option for that - he constructs them differently for that http://giftshop.scottishtartans.org/sporran_fb.html
(Sorry Galician, Edited for correct link) Here's a photo of one. The option is available on all the models even when not shown.

I've got 2 buzz kidder sporrans, the rob roy, and the inverness, and i like them both alot, they're the right size to actually USE and fit a good amount of stuff in without taking you 20 minutes to squeze your wallet out the top. I'm saving my pennies right now for a Ferguson Britt Beaver Glengyle, and that'll probably cover my sporran quota for a long long while
