Wanted to post to this thread again to remind those who can that this weekend is Tartan Weekend at the NC Ren Faire at the Raleigh fairgrounds.

10 to 6:30, Sat and Sun.

Didn't go today because of the rain. But I will be going tomorrow in my Irish National, and both of my boys (6 & 9) will be there in their Blackwatch! I will check this post tomorrow before we go. Let me know who will be there and when.

Well, ScottishRebel will be on duty at gate 8 from noon to 2pm and later.
Myself, SR and my wife will be here and there, all in Watson.

Great! We are leaving here about 10:30 or so, so should be there around noon. Can't miss me...tall spikey red hair in my Irish National with 2 boys in Blackwatch.

My wife and I did indeed meet up with Captain and his boys. They looked very distinquished in their kilts. (the boys, I'm not too sure about the Captain).

Finally the Faire got a break and it didn't rain.

Oh yeah, I did not win the bonny knees contest - rats!

ScottishRebel at his post. In the morning he greeted patrons as they entered, and at the end of the day bid them goodby - it's volunteers like him who make the faire a success.

Last and least here I am, second from right, losing the Bonnie Knees contest.

Hope this weekend there will be less rain!
