It was a perfect day for the kilt in Seattle
Today I was clad in my newest tank from The Scotland Yard: MacGregor modern
These colors are hard to miss
On the way to the local market I had to walk cross several streets. At most streets cars stopped and motioned me to pass. I waved and crossed. On my way across I look back at the drivers and passengers and they were all watching my kilt swing and smiling. One of the cars pulled up and stopped right next to me. The driver, a lady, asked me about the kilt while a teenage girl hung out the back window and gave me two thumbs up. The driver wanted to know where I got the kilt and if I knew any other kilties in the area - it turns out her husband wants a kilt but is nervous wearing it. I gave her the url's of several of our sponsors, as well as The Scotland Yard, and told her about XMarksTheScot. I also told her that I would be happy to assist in getting her husband outfitted if needed.
Once inside the market, two teen girls in what looked like soccer uniforms approached me and asked why I was wearing a dress - their tone and expression told me it was an honest mistake - so I educated them a bit about the kilt. As they left, one said to the other "that's cool".
At the check out, Dianna, a regular employee at the local store, said "you're looking good in that kilt today Ian", I responded with "any chance I can get your husband into a kilt this year?" - I have known Dianna for years. She smiled and said "I wish!".
It was a good day.. sunny, the temp was in the 70's and I'm glad that I could help some folks know a little more about the kilt.
And I think one of our sponsors is going to get a call from a woman in Seattle

WOW - not raining, and in Seattle.
I guess you would be excited. Folks there don't get a tan, they get a rust.
Very smart.

That's usually what we say about Seattle, but today was beautiful.

A great day indeed! Unlike rainy, tornado-warning Charlotte. Oh well, "we need the rain". Nice pic

Looking sharp Ian. I wore my SWK leatherneck up to my college yesterday. Great day to be kilted.

70's!!! Wow! I can't wait for it to get that cool at night. I think my new ABU kilt will be a great relief in the FL heat.

I remember Houston in the 70s. Last winter. Based on another thread, you look tight.
