An Easy to Knit Argyll Hose Pattern
I was browsing through some of my knitting magazines and just happened across a pattern for Argyll Knee Socks. It is in the Fall 2007 issue of Vogue Knit.1. While the pattern is sized for a Ladies size 7-9, the adjustment to larger size is probably done easily enough if you are a skilled knitter...or if you are a guy that is fortunate enough to have these measurements, then this would fit you.
Foot 9"/23cm
Ankle Circumfrence 7"/18cm
Calf Circumfrence 10"/25.5cm
You just need to choose your colors! The other thing I would correct is to make a more patterned cuff or at least a longer one that turned down. These hose are knit flat, which facilitates knitting the diamonds, from cuff to ankle, then it is picked up in the round to knit the foot. The heel is an afterthought heel.
