Not much more here that has not been said; but are we sure about the tariff and customs being such a big issue? I bought a kilt out of Canada recently and paid no tariff or customs; true the cost was less than $200 US, but still.....ith:

AtlantaKilts.com makes it right!
I wish to be on good terms with everyone. It is my aim to provide honest value, and correct any mistakes I might make in the process.
I've looked over The Wizard's posts and he does seem knowledgeable and helpful. I'm surprised, based on this, that he did not pick up the phone or shoot an email before posting – to confirm his facts. If I came across a blatant rip-off, I would also post it here. But I would carefully investigate to be entirely sure of my facts. A visit to a website, a phone call, a bit more homework would have been in order. I'll be happy to consider his recent post an anomaly to his other friendly and informative posts.
Anyway, regarding this unfortunate episode, I would have preferred (and I was willing) to do a complete re-weave and re-make, free of charge, to our customer’s order. However, he decided to return the kilt for a full refund (I also covered the costs for previous alterations). He is keeping the rest of the outfit, apart from exchanging 9.5 EEE Ghillie Brogues for 10 EEE. The customer has stated that he considers this transaction a win-win, and would tell anyone that AtlantaKilts.com is an honest and upright company, willing to make all transactions right.
On another positive note, the Style Channel’s "Whose Wedding Is It Anyway?” televised yesterday, 16 June 2009, of a wedding which rented the kilt outfits from AtlantaKilts.com (the piper sounded pretty good too ). In spite of limited measurements and short time-frame, the wedding party looked great in complete Prince Charlie outfits with the Gordon kilt. Of the vast majority of my company's transactions, this positive outcome is frequent and rewarding. The event reflected well on our kilted community. These are the kind of programs that can turn style toward the kilt.
Best Regards,

p.s. I look forward to speaking and working with Steve Ashton (The Wizard). I would certainly refer customers to him. I would have already called him, but I've been busy with organizing an Eagle Scout Court of Honor for my son, Stephen, who will soon be off to the Air Force Academy for basic training. A kilted piper at the Air Force Academy should also reflect well on our kilted community!

Brad,
As you participate more and more here you will find that XMTS is a polite, honest, and family friendly forum.
Steve Ashton (The Wizard of BC) is a big hearted guy who really cares about this place and considers it and its members his "clan". To that end you can assume he will write to inform, protect, and promote the fellowship here. He genuinely is out for our best interests. This is why he and his word have so much weight here.
I encourage you to communicate with him directly (though you should know he will be gone for about two weeks traveling in the British Isles). I think you will find him a fair and reasonable person.
Perhaps you can discuss this matter by PM and come to some accord.
In the meantime why don't you introduce yourself properly in the "Kilt Board Newbie" section.
Though In fairness I should warn you that XMTS is a bit addictive!
Cheers

Brad,
I Reviewed a Kilt I purchased from your business a few months back. I was quite pleased with my Purchase and I wrote you personally to thank you for the wonderful women you have working in the shop. I am sorry it took this long to get you on the board.
