Atlanta Kilts
Curious to know if anybody's had any dealings with Atlanta Kilts?
http://www.atlantakilts.com/index.htm
Prices didn't seem too bad. I'm wondering if this is a decent place to pick up a kilt or two?
Need reassurance about the quality of the kilts they're selling, though.
Thoughts?

They usually only get mentioned when someones doing a google search for Atlanta Kilt Rentals. Other than that I've never heard of anyone using them. Give them a call and see how you feel about their knowledge and capabilities after that. Let us know if you pull the trigger and how it goes.

I'm still a newbie, but I know enough to know you pretty much get what you pay for...at least for a tartan kilt to wear around town goofing off, I thought this might not be too bad - pricewise.
They say: "...Kilt (quality 16oz acrylic wool, heavy buckles, deep pleats)..." $127.

I'm fairly confident that these are likely nice quality kilts but they are ex-hire kilts. Been around the block a few times if you know what I mean ;) I would likely expect a few blemishes, maybe a snag or pull, something that would make it not quite good enough to rent any longer. Seeing as you are in SC, I might be a little more leery of buying site unseen. If you are ever in ATL though and could arrange to drop by and hand pick the one you want that could be a fantastic deal. However, if you are OK with a gently used kilt, go for it. Finding the bargain in the unexpected place is part of the fun

Please note that the ad says ACRYLIC Wool.
If they were actual 16oz. Scottish Wool the fabric alone would cost you more than twice what they are charging for a whole Kilt.

I wear the kilt because: Swish + Swagger = Swoon.

Ooooo hoo hoo hooooooooo, good catch Steve. You could get a wool kilt in several of those tartans from Stillwater for less than he's asking. And if you are OK with acrylic, still use Stillwater for a $50 savings.

I purchased an ex-rental (worn once) Prince Charlie from them. It's decent; however, there are better quality ones available elsewhere for just a few dollars more.

I've lived my entire life in Atlanta, and I've never heard of them. I feel out of the loop now...
