I imagine the weight is from all those D rings you will have a great time at the air port in that one. Have you checked them out for washing sometimes if they are not stainless or coated etc, you may get rust stains which would be a shame.

Well, the new kilt is huge hit with the co-workers and the students. (We just learned about D-Rings in Stage Craft, and a few were stoked to ID the D-Rings on the kilt). I had one student who said "I always wanted an excuse to get a kilt, and seeing that one, I want one even more. I just don't have a reason." I told him that wanting a kilt was a good reason, but if that wasn't good enough he could tell himself he was trying to impress his teacher. If he gets one and wears it to class he will be the second student in a MUG in that class (the other student wears a traditional Lava Lava on occasion).
I might be infecting my students with the Kilt disease.

Ummm any chance of a 4-1-1 on that? lol. I might just be showing my ignorance here but isn't a D-ring just a D-ring? How do you ID a D-ring?

A D-Ring is just a D-Ring.... but many of the acting students forced to take stage craft have never seen or heard of a D-Ring before.

Ohh! hahaha Ok. I was just reading waaaay too far into this... I thought you were talking about something technical. You know, like:

"Well, what we have here is a perfect example of a classical 2" nickel-plate. It was forged in China and we will be measuring the tensile strength as it compares to the Taiwan-forged 2" non-nickel plate..."

But that's just me & my weird imagination...

CDNSushi: No problem. I'm endlessly amazed at what life hasn't taught kids by the time they become 18. I'm also endlessly amazed that these same kids who don't know which way a screw turns, can fix my computer (and I'm not a technophobic luddite).Cheers
