Jock,That's some beautiful country you live in. I hope to be able to see it for myself, hopefully sooner rather than later.
I have a challenge for you: shoot the same shot in all four seasons. For instance, you might set up at the same place that you shot the river (in the first picture) and shoot it in all four seasons, just to compare the changes.

 Thanks for posting these.

unfortunately ( as many may already know), according to a gentleman I spoke to, in Oban, when I stayed there (whose family had a salmon stream), the farmed Atlanic salmon have mostly killed off the wild salmon, just as they are doing here, in BC

Great pictures, Jock. Wonderful scenery, and it's good that you are out and about to take pictures again.
Hope to see some of these things for ourselves next year.

Thanks for sharing Jock, looks like a beautiful part of the country that you live in. About how long a hike is it to the top of Ben Nevis?

Reminds me of some of our Canadian weather...ten months of winter and two months of poor sledding!

How long to get to the top? Well assuming you are not wanting to hurry and you go up the path(it is very rough in parts)then you should allow about 3 to 4 hours to reach the summit. Be warned, like all mountains, the weather can change in an instant, so go prepared.Just so you know, some of the runners competing in the Ben Nevis race do to the summit AND BACK in just less than 2 hours!
