I love my D300. It can do it all for you or you can set every detail.
It does take some time to get menus figured out.
Although I think you are well on your way with such good shots as these.

Another autmn scene. In truth, I am seeing what a bigger picture looks like.So its just a test really.Hummmm, they look just the same as the others.

Nice photies indeed, Jock. I'm a couple of hours south, but I get into the hills fairly often. Just in case it's of any interest to anyone, in this bigger version of my avatar you can see Ben Nevis from another angle - on the left behind the Wee Black Dug.
I chose that because it's about the most Scottish picture I have. 
Enjoy every sandwich.
