Looks very put together to me, and I would not think twice if I saw you in it, now or any time of year.

Looking good... Ron, was it? At any rate, very festive, and Mardi Gras is always an apt kilted venue.

I'm going to wear my WPG MacKenzie, dark green hose with red garter ties and since it's been so dar cold, I'll be wearing red long underwaer top with a dark green micro-fleece top. My students should enjoy the fact that I'm getting festive.

Ryan, I don't think that you are sacrificing sensibilities at all. If the tartan colors match the holiday season.............. good for you! It just works. My Stewart Hunting works in much the same way. In fact, your ensemble looks much like my Thanksgiving attire minus the tie ( and I have significantly more grey in the beard )
Good look, if I do say so myself.
Understand that Ron has a great sense of personal style -and- some of the worlds greatest photographic backdrop close at hand.

Me personally- I plan on wearing my green Flamingo Kilt with green hose, red shirt, red flashes, and a black waistcoat to a Christmas party next weekend. Should look good, I think!

You mean like this?

I don't know, I think a Santa-Claus-beard sporran is a bit too much.
If I've overstepped a line, don't hesitate to say so. I'm tired, I'm not feeling well, and my mind went boom when I thought about someone with a Santa sporran. I think I should blame CDNsushi. Somehow that just feels right.

Oh, sorry. For you, Nighthawk, you need a horned helmet rather than antlers.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

I'll probably wear my Kerr Modern kilt which is a red and green tartan, Lovat green hose with red flashes, a red dress shirt with a black tie and a black waistcoat just to off set everything.
