    Wonderful pics, thanks! You look great by the way in your kilt...relaxed and casual done right-no combat boots (I'm assuming, since your feet are not shown) and a sloppy t-shirt! Well done mate!

    Jealous, very jealous, I keep telling myself next year is the year I make it over for the Tattoo and to see Piping Live. But to no avail. Thanks for sharing the pics though and motivating me to start saving some cash.

    rsvpiper thanks for the great photos and descriptions. I must admit the I am a tad envious of you and your family of being able to attend the tattoo, which is near the top of my bucket list.

    I'm astounded you got a photo of the Citadel Band! Good to see my old school represented so well.

    This is actually the second time the Citadel has been invited to participate in the Tattoo. The first was 1981 or thereabouts. (Take that VMI!)

    Back in the early years of the Tattoo the ranks could easily be filled with Scottish military pipe bands, there being a dozen at that time.
