The rest of the files appear to be non-Scottish pipe bands, some of them civilian.
Back in the early years of the Tattoo the ranks could easily be filled with Scottish military pipe bands, there being a dozen at that time.

Some great pictures there, and thanks for the bit of video, too.

You beat me to it!
I recognised them by their jackets (SA Army tunic) and the shields on their upper arms.
The green headgear looks suspiciously like an ordinary SA Infantry Corps beret, but I may be mistaken – perhaps it is a caubeen. At least they are wearing hackles on them.

Yes indeed what a difference! The pipe band of one Highland battalion only, the Black Watch.
Less than ten years ago at one Tattoo were the pipe bands of two Guards regiments and six Scottish regiments:
The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards
The Scots Guards
The Royal Scots
The Royal Highland Fusiliers
The King's Own Scottish Borderers
The Black Watch
The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders
The Highlanders (Seaforths, Gordons, and Camerons)
plus several overseas pipe bands
The South African Irish Regiment
The Rats Of Tobruk (a civilian band I believe)
unidentified Canadian military pipe band
unidentified civilian pipe band
unidentified Irish pipe band
Gurkha pipe band
14 pipe bands in all that I can see from photos.
