    Spreading the good word: TAoKM

I often get positive comments about my kilts, and whenever possible, I spread the word/offer advice about DIY, with the help of Barbs book (aka: "The Bible").
When I was out, to vote (Federal election - Transport employees DON'T get time off work to vote, & I;m working both advance polls & election day), I ran into a lady who was invovled in designing a tartan for the city of Abbotsford ( BC).
    local newspaper story here:

anyway, after the positive comments, about my Maple Leaf kilt (aka: #1 handsewn, from AoKM ) I put in the "good word" , for Fraser & Kirkbright and showed her my copy of the Art of Kiltmaking - both of which she was VERY interested in.

    from such small seeds ....

I think both Barb & Gordon might get some inquiries - and maybe some more will get KM disease

It's a wonderful community! DIY is really really important to preserving the tradition. Thanks for the good word.

    NO!
    Thank YOU!!
    , for all the on-line ( and "bible"/TAoK) help!
-you have helped many wanna-kilties to make their own!

I know I was wanting to replace my "out-grown" kilt, for 35 years, before finding this website & your book.
thanks to you, I'm now working on #7 ( with material for another 7, so far, waiting for me to have the time)

I have Barbs book also and I will be making a box pleated kilt this summer. With out the book I wouldn't even consider trying.
