I love the look of women in kilts/tartan kilted skirts, whatever they wear on their legs. However dark or fishnet tights or stockings seem to suit most occasions and my wife agrees on that. Unfortunately she feels she is too old for mini kilts and Doc Martens even though she has still got the legs to get away with it. So seemingly, weather, occasion, legs, age and kilt length are all relevant to whatever she decides.

If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

Here are two different looks :

Lady Chrystel dressed as a man (sheesh... ):

And the same dressed with a long kilted skirt:

Thanks for the help everyone. Clears everything up. No rules is exactly the rule she prefers (as long as that rule applies to her, and not me)! And now that she just bought another kilt, she is quite pleased to have an excuse to pick up yet more accessories, even after claiming my new sporran as her own as soon as I received it.

Robert, great pics. Chrystel gives two wonderful looks to really illustrate the point (I love the top one), though a lady as lovely as she could drape herself in a burlap bag and look divine!

    Thanks again guys!

I think women can get away with whatever they are comfortable in. I'll agree again...no rules for this situation.

Again, women can wear anything that pleases them and it always looks great. I like the buttoned pocket flaps on your kilt. Are they actual pockets, GoodGirlGonePlaid?

I noticed those button pockets as well. Very cool. Are they real pockets, or just for looks?
