I must respectfully disagree. I frequently wear a western hat when I'm kilted. I also wear western shirts with the kilt. Nothing but positive comments. I've yet to wear a giant rodeo buckle with the kilt belt -- but it'd be do-able, I think.
I do draw the line at western boots, however
