For playing grease monkey, I would stick with 100% cotton as oil and grease chemically and permanantly bind to syntetics. The nastyiest thing I see, other than the wash, is the high temperature driers and clothes laying in piles after they come out. Anything that take the TLC we normally use at home is out the window. It is the reason for the wrinkle proof industrial ( and thus hot ) fabrics they choose. Pleats other than sewn edges would not hold in these fabrics.
