Michele and I decided to go to the Vietnam War Memorial (aka the Wall) in the National Mall in DC today. As we walked from the Metro
station we had to cross the Memorial Day Parade route. As luck would have it, I heard pipes. The Chesapeake Caladonian
Pipes and Drums were passing.
We had to wait a bit to get to the Wall, as there was a big todo with President Obama and others, as they are building an education
center as part of the Memorial.
Any way, me at the Wall
And with a few brother Marines at the wreath placed earlier during the ceremony by the USMC representative
Lots of vets from all eras, lots of good comment on the kilt, lots of "Thank you for your service"
A good day.
