Question from wife
When I was kilted last, my wife asked me if I were Italian, would I wear a Toga? Interesting.
Actually I thought of similarities: both are generally uncommon for general wear, both are geographically representative.
Another is the wearing of the Toga at a high school where my wife worked. Saratoga....an upstate NY city...had an annual Toga day....Sara"Toga" apparently the basis. The HS kids wore Sheets arranged as Togas.....except that was all they wore...that prompted the principal to require the wearing of underwear....sounds like a number of topics on our forum.
For our UK friends, the battle of Saratoga was a major battle in the American Revolution, or the American War as I believe it is known in UK.
