This is a great b/w movie (in the old tradition) from 1949, staring Richard Todd, Patricia Neal, and Ronald Reagan. The main plot is one of true friendship transforming the feelings of an emotionally scarred Scottish soldier who, un-beknownst to himself, is dying. The secondary running gag is about the rest of his fellow soldiers at the hospital trying to see what he wears under the kilt. As one reviewer on Amazon put it "It is a moving and emotional film". I thoroughly enjoyed it.
