Was at Ft. Belvoir in Virginia having brunch with my family. Noticed a guy wearing a mostly red tartan pleated to the sett. Didn't get the chance to talk to him, but our waiter, noticing that we were admiring the wonderful view of the Potomac River, mentioned that another table had told him that the view was the best he'd seen in any Officer's Club in the world. Happened to be the guy wearing the kilt. Apparantly, he is a retired colonel and spends half his time in the states and the other half in Scotland. Well, if a senior American military officer can wear a kilt, a junior one like myself should have no problems. Now, if I can just find the cash...
