Sinbad and I were a little under the weather so were unable to go to the off schedule Beer/Kilt Night at the Devil's Canyon Brewery Friday. We were both feeling better the next day and the whole family headed up to Petaluma for lunch with the family of the Flame-Haired Celtic Amazon Goddess.

We had a lovely lunch at Demsey's Microbrewery and walked about the streets of Downtown Petaluma.

Something that struck me on the way home was how few people commented on the way I and Sinbad were dressed. We did get a few compliments including a nod of approval from a group of punk rocker types. But on the whole there wasn't a whole lot of reaction. I mentioned it to the F-H.C.A.G. and she suggested that I wore it so naturally and confidently it wasn't much of an issue.

The next day we all went to see my father perform with his retirement community's chorale. I had gone to their last concert in the summer and received numerous compliments about my kilt. It was a very nice concert that included a Bell Choir as well. Afterwards I again recieved numerous compliments including a few "I'm glad you wore your kilt again". My mother had one friend walk up to her and tell her her son and daughter-in-law had such "presence". The power of the KILT!

Here is my Dad and I after the show

After the show we had pleasant dinner with my folks and finally took a sleepy Sinbad and Xena home.

All in all a very a very good weekend.

Cheers
