Got an unexpected 'phone call from the local kilt shop this morning to say that my new Teviotdale was ready, so I've been down to collect it. Unexpected as I thought I'd have to wait another two or three weeks.
I only ordered this kilt on 11th December, as reported here:

The fabric was woven by Lochcarron, and the kilt was built by a lady kilt maker under contract to Tyneside Tartans of Haddington and Hawick. It is 8 yards, 13 oz.
Here is a view of the pleats
The weather is very wet and windy outside today but I couldn't wait to try it on and my neighbour came over to my conservatory to take these two shots.
Being conditioned to 24" length off the peg casual kilts which I wear most days, I feel that my dressy kilts with their 23" length leave a cold gap at the knees in winter. So when getting measured for this kilt, I agreed with the tailor to split the difference and go for a 23.5 inch length this time.
