Edinburgh ("Auld Reekie") Pictures #6
View from North Bridge across to St Andrew's House and Calton Hill.

View from North Bridge over the vast roofage of Waverley Station towards Princes St and the Scott Monument.

Another view towards Calton Hill, the statue might be a Boer War memorial looking at the uniforms but I stand to be corrected.

Looking up Waterloo Place from the junction of North Bridge and Princes St. It's only a short walk and a slight climb to reach Calton Hill from here.

And talking of Waterloo, here is an equestrian statue of the Duke of Wellington.

Jenners is a famous Princes St department store, now part of the House of Fraser. Fairly pricey on the whole but I did get a nice umbrella and a pair of Saltire cufflinks at reasonable prices.

Sir Walter Scott sits on his plinth beneath his Gothic monument.
