Highland Holiday 2006 #4
Looking up the River Ness in the direction of the Loch, from Inverness Castle.

Looking up in the evening light towards Inverness Castle from the bank of the River Ness.

Inverness sunset over the River Ness.

Highland House of Fraser shop, Inverness. The building used to be owned and operated by Hector Russell.

Window at Highland House of Fraser. Some good gear but a lot of it was rather pricey!

Kilted statue of a soldier outside Inverness Railway Station.

The Town House, Inverness. It has an interesting historical claim to fame as it was here on September 7, 1921, the only UK Cabinet meeting to be held outside London, took place, when David Lloyd George, on holiday in Gairloch called an emergency meeting to discuss the situation in Ireland. The Inverness Formula composed at this meeting was the basis of the Anglo-Irish Treaty.
