Yaish,

The sporran is from The Celtic Croft. It is from their economy line of sporrans and was about $45. I find it very attractive and very reasonable quality for the money (ditch the poor quality chain strap that comes with it). McMurdo, myself, aswell as a few others have found this to be a great dress sporran for people who can't stand the thought of dropping several hundred dollars on a dress sporran.

Graham,

You are very right Graham ! I lowered the sporran a notch on my strap and it still bounced around and made the most annoying click of the cantle tip striking the belt during the "The Sailor". Next time for dance I'll wear my plain black tassled one or maybe I need an all black Freelander with a pewter button.

w2f,

Those look very nice. I already have a pair of fancy dress shoes and may have worked out a deal with a friend for some actual ghillie brogues though.

Panache, that is the perfect outfit to go out on the town for some very elegant smiting. Think James Bond.

Brilliant!
Dee,

Now you just need to work in "gloaming" and "perambulate" into your conversation over the next couple of days and you are set!

Alex,

I guess I'd better take out the Wicked Tinker's "Banger for Breakfast" out of the CD player and put in Bauhaus' "Swing the Heartache"

Everybody else,

Thanks for the opinions, looks like the outfit is a keeper.

Cheers
