Ending of a Jones era
How does one live with the Jones factor removed? My final piece of kit that I had been waiting for since January came in yesterday. A nice, new, 16oz strome 9 yard kilt in MacKinnon hunting ancient arrived from Matt Newsome yesterday. Man, oh, man is this thing heavy. It has a very substantial feel to it and out weighs every other kilt in the stable. The kilt was made in Scotland by Locharron and bears their label as well as another label giving the sizes. (One of which confused me mightily. It said the kilt was 22+2. Took me a second to realize that this was the 24 inches that I had ordered)
So with the delivery of the Isle of Skye box pleat last week and this kilt, I no longer have anything on order... (hmmm, I wonder where the wife hid the credit cards...) Anyway, on to the pictures..

(edit) My wife just reminded me that I have two pairs of Lewis hose and 3 extra long garter ties on order from Matt... WooHoo, the Jonesing continues!)
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon
