Ending of a Jones era
How does one live with the Jones factor removed? My final piece of kit that I had been waiting for since January came in yesterday. A nice, new, 16oz strome 9 yard kilt in MacKinnon hunting ancient arrived from Matt Newsome yesterday. Man, oh, man is this thing heavy. It has a very substantial feel to it and out weighs every other kilt in the stable. The kilt was made in Scotland by Locharron and bears their label as well as another label giving the sizes. (One of which confused me mightily. It said the kilt was 22+2. Took me a second to realize that this was the 24 inches that I had ordered)
So with the delivery of the Isle of Skye box pleat last week and this kilt, I no longer have anything on order... (hmmm, I wonder where the wife hid the credit cards...) Anyway, on to the pictures..
(thumbnails go clickety-pop)
The front view.
The pleat view.
The Hamish view (or the side, pleat view.)
Mike
(edit) My wife just reminded me that I have two pairs of Lewis hose and 3 extra long garter ties on order from Matt... WooHoo, the Jonesing continues!)

Very Nice Mike! I know you're loving that one.
So when are we getting together to get that one "wet"

Congratulations Mike, You look very happy indeed. You know if you want to keep jonesing, just keep ordering stuff then you'll continue to be happy in some weird way. Me I like instant gratification, that doesn't work well with kilts though.

Thanks Robin!! This is the kilt on which the masterpiece of a kilt pin I ordered from you will adorn! Just did not dig it out of the archives in time for this photo!

After the jones comes lusting, the only remedy for which is ordering, which leads to jonesing once more. It's known as the the Eternal Kilt Cycle.
