They pick people from the audience to participate with certain parts of the show.  Since I stand out in a crowd, kilted or not, they picked me.  They had us walk to the side to explain what to do.  While I was standing there, my waitress came up to me from across the room and said with a wink, "You need to be careful of the strut."  I said, "So, you noticed?", and she said, "Oh yes...I certainly did!"
