Second Kilt Completed.
Well, I have just completed my second effort. This one is a casual or "office casual" Khaki, from brushed or "sueded" canvas. I used a Kinguisse pleating scheme, and very slightly narrowed aprons, ( front of the hip bones). I followed the Xkilt instructions unless they didnt work, < different pleating > and it went fairly smoothly.
I have not had a chance to wear it, but it "looks" good. I will of course report on comfort, wear, ease of care and so forth as soon as I have something to report. I will of course also send pics of the two kilts as well as a couple of other projects in the wind when I get them. The goal is to restructure my wardrobe to such an extent that I can go kilted all the time. I suspect I will make most of them, and I certainly hope the process gets smoother and easier with experience.
I am thinking the next will be a traditional cut, even if its not a traditional tartan fabric.
