Both of these pairings are sonneurs de couple, with one playing biniou kozh (bagpipe) and bombarde (shawm). For solo piping I'd recommend Patrick Molard. There's also the other breton bagpipe known as the veuze which is not recorded all that often. I'd recommend any recordings you could find of it, especially those of Thierry Bertrand, Thierry Lahais and John Skelton.

What Msr. Amyot plays (at least in his recordings that I've heard thus far) is predominantly central French music from or influenced by the Berry region. (Please correct me if I'm wrong on this Robert). BTW, Robert, are you going to be at St Chartier this year? This is the first year that I've ever been able to make it and could stand some recommendations.

Hope this has helped.
This was perfect ! Excellent .
I'm preparing a new CD with 2 cornemuses and church organs + another one with a young italian group I am playing with : A Briga. (See my top MySpace friends).
As you might have seen on my "Pics" (MySpace again...), I am the father of 2 little ones. So I wont be going to the Saint-Chartier folk festival for some time...
