Another method of making tassels.

Take a piece of card board cut it 25% longer than you want your tassels to be. Wrap yarn around the card board until you have enough for your desired tassel thickness. Slip the end of the flashes cord under on side of the tassel loops on the card board. Pull the cord through at least two or three inches or even more this length will be adjusted.

Slide the tassel yarn off the card board, holding so the yarn does not unravel and the flashes cord does not fall out. Wrap 6 to 10 loop of yarn around the tassel yarn up close to the flashes cord and tie off.

Pull the flashes cord back that when you loop the end up against the long section of flashes cord the short end on the cord extends about 1/2 inch above the top of the tassel. That yarn and wrap the short end of the flashes cord to the long end of the flashes crop and tie off.

Cut the bottom loops off the tassel and fluff.

This should be quicker and easier than sewing the tassel into the end of the cord.
