Just got back last week from a ten day trip to Scotland--well nine days if you drop travel time. Spent 7 days in Edinburogh and a couple in the Grampian Highlands west of Aberdeen. Took all four kilts and two jacket vest combos for the special events. Below are my outfits by day. Enjoy, and criticisms are as welcome as compliments.
First day was spent in my Black Isle tank with a white mock tee but I forgot to take any pictures of myself that day. So the next day we'll call day one, in Isle of Skye.

Day two in Ancient MacDonald.

Day three in Isle of Skye and Argyll at formal gathering in the Edinborough Castle, with son in hi MacDonald Modern (I wll let you all guess which one of us is NOT going regimental in this photo).

Day three close up of me and the boy in his kilt outfit.

Day four in my family tartan Forrester Modern and charcoal tweed jacket/ waistcoat in which I made my presentation at the convention.

Day five in my Black Isle tank for a tour of St Andrews --- no golf though, bummer.

Day five evening in my Forrester Modern tank and formal Argyll with friend in his weathered Cameron of Eracht and PC at our convention formal dinner

Day six in my Isle of Skye tank in front of our hotel, Castle hotel in Huntley.

Day seven in my Black Isle in a walled garden at Castle Ballindolloch

Last day in Scotland I acceded to my wife's wishes and wore a pair of jeans (bummer) but it was a good thing because I had to try to change a blown flat tire in the rain that afternoon, and would likely have ruined a nice kilt in those conditions.
Trip was a hoot. Edinburough was great. Wish we had more time for more of the countryside but had to get home earlier than expected for professional reasons. Definitley going back sometime, hopefully soon.
Royal mile was a tat storm of Gold Bros stores and junk, with the occasional decent place with nice stuff like Geoffrey Tailor and Hector Russell. Picked up several nice pairs of hose I will show off in future postings.
Glad to be home but really want to go back soon for more time.
jeff
