Three of us at our meeting formal dinner were kilted and either in PCs or Argylls.
Can't count the number of times I was stopped by a tourist and asked for directions. Wife says I got a lot of looks from both locals and tourists---some stranger than others. Got a lot of compliments too, though from locals and shopkeepers and waitresses, etc...
some good looking photos there 
most folk over here will wear their kilt for special occasions, not everyday wear

Thanks. We were in your area ten days ago or so for the Strathmore Highland games at Glamis Castle just outside Forfar. Neat event. Wondering if we might have passed each other there that day. Drove out through Forfar en route to Aberdeen and Huntley---seemed like a lovely town.

cool, i'd been home as well 
i used to live on the same street as strathmore, and is quite a good town to live in.
glamis castle is nice, hope it was good weather for you.
